StumbleUpon - is an social network with a slightly different twist in that it allows its users to discover and rate random web pages, photos, and videos.

This process of rating web sites while stumbling in turn updates ones personal profile (a blog-style record of rated sites) and then in turn generates peer networks of fellow Web surfers that are linked by common interests. These social networks coordinate the distribution of Web content, so that users "stumble upon" pages explicitly recommended by friends and peers. The ability to rate a site by giving it a thumbs up, thumbs down selection on the StumbleUpon toolbar allows for a rather creative way to control what you're interests are and what you dislike.

For those who are less interested in sharing on a personal level and prefer sharing common interests information or websites, StumbleUpon may be a better alternative.
