Facebook users can add people as friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves, post pictures and share just about everything with everyone.

Once a login and password has been created you move on to creating a personal profile. Many display photos, share favorite video clips, music downloads, etc.

Facebook does allow for business ads to be placed, they are small ads but you can predefine the age group and gender of the population you are targeting. Many businesses have created Facebook accounts and have placed the Facebook icon on their website and include mentioning it in many of the television marketing campaigns.

Privacy has been compromised several times so for anyone who is squeamish about revealing their all to the world, be sure to check the settings and if you can be found by email address.
